Five Stages “Da Change” (July 18)

Life is certainly filled with changes and Newfoundlanders love to talk about them. From the change in the weather, to politics, to health – there’s always a change to spark conversation. Sure, even the 5 Stages have changed – there’s only four of ‘em. So Susan Fowlow, Stella Campbell, Lisa Henley and Gary Gillam are going for ‘da change’ as well – from 5 Stages to 4 Steps – and they’d love you to join them for a night of comedic songs about life changes.

 


 

STF at Clancy’s (July 25)

Enjoy an evening of tunes and tales with performances by current and past STF company members and friends  of the festival. One night only on Wednesday, July 25th at 7:30 pm. Hosted by Don Dunphy this is sure to be a fun evening. A limited number of reserved seats are available for $15 and opening seating tickets at the door for $10. Mallory Johnson (July 30)

“The girl can sing!”, says Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum entertainer, Sammy Kershaw, in an interview with Nashville Country Club. “Her pitch is so good, she has country soul, her phrasing is great and the way she breathes in the song, it’s unbelievable that she has been sitting out there.” That was the response multi-talented singer/songwriter, Mallory Johnson, received shortly after winning the 2015 “Next Country Star” talent contest in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

 


 

Maxim’s Dream (August 1)

A trip down memory lane with songs and stories of the early days at STF.  This wonderful evening has been created by, and will feature, treasured alumni who will honor Maxim’s dream of creating a world class theatre back in 1979, and to celebrate the fact that STF is alive and well, and living in Stephenville!

Shakespeare’s Will (August 8)

Vern Theissen’s Shakespeare’s Will features Anne Hathaway, the wife to whom the Bard famously left his “second best bed.” In Theissen’s words, he has “used the will as a springboard […] to explore the journey of a woman who faces adversity, rises above it, and ultimately re-kindles faith in herself.”
